Meet Heather McBriarty:

Heather fell in love with books very early in her life and began writing her own stories not long after. History has long fascinated her. However, both took a back seat for many years, as her career in health care and life as a mother took over. Fast forward to 2018, when the discovery of love letters to her grandmother reignited the desire to write a book, resulting in her first publication, the non-fiction account of the First World War, Somewhere in Flanders: Letters from the Front. A Novel of the “Great War” followed. A period of history that has become a passion, Heather has delivered lectures on the war, and blogs about the Canadians who fought in it. Heather has reviewed for The Miramichi Reader, currently reviews for The Seaboard Review and served as a juror for the 2023 Atlantic Book Awards. She has too many ideas for new books and too little time!
By day, she is a Medical Radiation Technologist, doting grandmother, and avid sailor. She lives by the sea in historic Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
